About the School
Hazelwood School is an independent preparatory school for boys and girls aged 2½ - 13 years old. The School's history dates back to 1890 on our 25-acre woodland site in the Surrey Downs.
Each child is encouraged to discover their own potential through supportive teaching, creative activities and superb facilities. Every stage of development is unique and our teaching is designed to bring out the best in our pupils.
We successfully prepare pupils for secondary education to suit the parents choice. Typical schools for Old Hazelwoodians include Benenden, Caterham, Eastbourne, Epsom, Eton, Hurstpierpoint, Kent Grammar Schools, King's School Canterbury, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Woldingham.
Hazelwood School belongs to the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS). More information on IAPS (external link).
